Anyone try PC-BSD? August 2, 2006

About 2 weeks ago, I attempted to install FreeBSD 6.1 and spent hours setting up KDE so I could have a nice usable user interface. Well, I thought this was an annoyance since almost every major distro today configures X and installs a desktop environment for you. I looked around and noticed PC-BSD and so I decided to give it a try. After installation, I was amazed at how well it recognized my hardware and that it came preinstalled with alot of nice software. I also liked the package management system (pbi) but there are alot of packages missing…guess I could contribute, eh?
